Eckhaus Latta, New York SS18

A Magazine Curated By presents an exclusive portfolio of the Eckhaus Latta show in New York on September 9th, 2017. This season designers Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta contemplated states of dress. A fabric-heavy black silk suit with a high-waist and shoulder pads slowly iterated to tailoured separates with flesh revealing cut-outs, pants that sag below the hipbone and finally sheer skirts and blouses that only tint the nude body in pastel blues and greens. A live performance from Moses Sumney filled the Bushwick, Brooklyn warehouse with echoes of Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love” as the designers’ family of models weaved through rows of friends and editors alike. After the show, fans of the brand lingered over cocktails in the backyard space of the warehouse to celebrate the success of the brand’s most refined collection.
