Establishing themselves above and beyond any call of duty as a denim-house, ACNE STUDIOS continue to push the envelope in the avant-garde sphere, with their first Parisian show for AW13 on Saturday March 2nd in the Grand Palais. The designer Johnny Johansson commissioned Paris-based British artist Katerina Jebb to extend her research into the archives of the Musée Galliera (Paris’ premiere fashion archive, directed by Olivier Saillard), and had her resulting artworks printed across the collection.

Katerina will share her own observations of the experience with us later, but for now we look above the neck, to Stephen Jones’ first partnership with the Swedish powerhouse. Mr. Jones crafted a series of felt Bretons in black, navy, taupe, charcoal & pastel pink, slicing them through the back to allow a head scarf to sit below the brim and knot above it at the back of the neck.
